Grown on Abbey Green Estate’s second highest altitude, our Mountain Peak Roast offers a unique blend of Grade 1 (screen size equal to 17 or greater), Grade 2 (screen size equal to 16 or greater) and rare Peaberry whole beans. This roast offers deep flavours and a complex taste profile. This roast benefits from slower ripening of the green coffee bean in the cooler levels of the mountain’s peak. These world class beans take between 6-8 months to mature and are only available for a brief window of harvest, in very limited supply. These world class beans are hand picked, and sorted for size, density, color and appearance. After pulping and drying, our coffee is rested for eight to twelve weeks in specially constructed silos of cured wolmanized pine. These beans are then boutique roasted as individual batches, and subjected to the final test – world renowned cuppers use their sensitive palettes to validate and qualify your individual roast, ensuring it meets the very best standards. Your individual boutique roast is then vacuum-sealed and placed in one-way valve bags, ensuring the preservation of utmost freshness. Prior to shipment, the Jamaica Coffee Industry Board’s Quality Assurance team (a Government body) conducts an inspection. Blue Heaven Coffee is shipped only with the qualified approval of the Coffee Industry Board, validating the designation of 100% Jamaican Blue Mountain Coffee.
